Get Help for a Locked Account

The Heroku Support team is available to help in the event your account is locked out and you’re unable to log in. We recommend the following steps:

I forgot my password

Use the password reset form to send a password reset link to the email address on file for your Heroku account. That link will allow you to set a new password for your account.

I lost my MFA device

First, use one of the provided recovery codes we created for your account when MFA was enabled (see documentation). If you lost access to your MFA device and recovery codes, please email support@heroku.com from the email address associated with your Heroku account to create a ticket.

My account is “not found”

If, when attempting to log in using a previously functioning account, you receive a message that your Heroku account is not found, please complete the form to get in touch with Heroku Support.


A Heroku account is required to contact Support. If using the form, ensure the email address matches the address associated with your Heroku account. If you do not have an account, go to the Heroku sign up page.
