Order Administrator Lead


The Heroku Business Operations team collectively manages the sales ops, marketing ops, FP&A, and DWH ops for the Heroku Platform within Salesforce. We’re a dynamic team of operators, with multi functional skill sets, and diverse backgrounds. We pride ourselves on scaling to meet the rapid changing demands of the business with a smile. 
As part of that overall team, the Order Administrator is tasked with managing the order cycle from opportunity close through order fulfillment, including but not limited to reviewing, confirming, and processing new orders. 

The right candidate must have the quantitative skills and attention to detail to track, analyze, and process large amounts of data, as well as qualitative skills to interact effectively with internal functions and provide top-level service to customers. You will become part of a team that works side by side to help ensure the growth and success of the company. 

Duties:
Post Sales Operations
  • Complete detailed Order approval checklist
  • Follow up on any discrepancies in order process
  • Maintain order process data 
  • Includes both new business and renewals 
  • Ensure data quality in our order systems
  • Complete End of Month checklist
Licensing & Provisioning
  • Manage the provision cycle - provisioning assets to customers after the order cycle is complete
  • Monitor order status, communicating any issues / delays to customers / partners
  • Update and record information amongst multiple internal systems 
  • Communicate with the core Sales Ops team
Commissions
  • Complete commissions calculations for our Account Executives and Sales Engineers monthlyRequirements
  • Experience in orders, fulfillment or customer support, ideally in a startup or small software company
  • Passionate about processing and reconciling a high volume of orders and of transactional data
Requirements:
  • Experience in orders, fulfillment or customer support, ideally in a startup or small software company
  • Passionate about processing and reconciling a high volume of orders and of transactional data
  • Basic understanding of software subscriptions/licensing
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM system, including but not limited to: technical knowledge, report building, and admin functions
  • Expert in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Punctual, reliable, responsible and organized
  • Ability to work in a remote environment
  • Ability to orchestrate cross-departmental interactions 
  • Attention to Detail:  # your favorite non-profit on your resume
Nice to Have:
  • Knowledge of SQL or Relational Databases a strong plus 
  • Understanding of SOX Controls and Revenue Recognition processes
